The Joby Bike Mount is a Quality Build with Many Uses
I bought the Joby Action Bike Mount with no intention of using it on a bike, but rather as a camera mount for my DIY Overhead Camera Rig. I choose Joby, because I have other Joby products, and were always happy with them. This action cam bike mount worked so well, I thought I would write a quick review about it.
The Joby Action Bike Mount is Easy to Use
One of the best features of this mount is that its easy to use. They really thought about the design. It has a flip up section that allows you to easily access the back of the camera mounts. So there is no need for you to remove the mount from your bike or pole. This is pictured above. Once you have added or adjusted your camera, simply use the thumb screw to lock the flip up section back down.
Typical Joby Sturdy Build
As with all of my other Joby products, this bike mount has a very sturdy build. Whilst it is designed for bikes, and designed to hold an action cam, I tested it with my Canon 80d, and it didn't budge. You couldn't use the with a DSLR on your bike, simply because the jolting around would not hold that weight. But in my situation, just using it as a pole mount with no movement or forces, it held very well. It comes with a few rubber inserts to fit to different sized poles, and it is made with a high quality rubber that just does not move at all.
If you are looking for a bike mount for your action cam, or a pole mount for any of your camera equipment, I could not recommend this mount enough. It is built well, and well thought out.
